Something woke
beneath the ice.

Antarctica was peaceful, until a strange red pulse began changing the penguins. What followed became the greatest rescue mission the continent had ever seen.

The Bad Penguins aren’t the enemy. They’re the ones you’re here to save.

01Before the Pulse

Antarctica was peaceful.

For as long as anyone could remember, the wind howled, the ice shifted, and emperor penguins gathered in enormous colonies to raise their young and move between the frozen land and open water.

Then something changed. Deep beneath the Antarctic ice, a strange red energy appeared. At first it was only a faint pulse. Then it began to move.

02Patient Zero

The first penguin changed.

The pulse reached one penguin. Its eyes turned red. Its behavior changed. Soon it was no longer acting like the others, and the infection began spreading from penguin to penguin.

Healthy penguins became aggressive. They chased others away from safe areas, hurled snowballs at anything that approached, and eventually began deliberately infecting good penguins. Something was turning Antarctica against itself.

03Research Division

The reports reached the outside world.

Remote monitoring stations began reporting behavior no one could explain. Colonies were changing. Entire areas were becoming unsafe. And the problem was spreading fast.

A specialized research team was sent to Antarctica immediately. They established a temporary field laboratory near the affected colonies and began studying the infection.

What they discovered was worse than expected: the red energy behaved almost like a living infection. It could spread. It could change. And it was becoming stronger.

04The Breakthrough

The penguins could still be saved.

After analyzing contaminated feathers and infected samples, the team discovered something crucial: the transformation could be reversed.

They developed an experimental cyan serum and loaded it into a specialized injector designed to deliver the cure quickly in the field.

Then came the first test. A red-eyed infected penguin approached. The researcher fired. The serum hit. The red glow faded. Its eyes returned to normal.

The cure worked.

05The Mutation

Hope lasted only a moment.

The infection mutated.

New waves of Bad Penguins became faster, smarter, and more organized. Some attacked the researchers from a distance with snowballs. Others protected infected territory. Some grew far larger and more dangerous than normal penguins.

And the red pulse kept moving into new parts of Antarctica.

06The Rescue Mission

The research mission became a fight to save a continent.

The team upgraded everything they had: faster injectors, advanced serum delivery systems, protective shields, cold-weather gear, and new field equipment.

Every breakthrough gave the researchers a better chance of reaching penguins trapped deeper inside infected territory.

But one rule never changed: the mission is rescue. A Bad Penguin is still a good penguin underneath the infection.

07The Pulse Fights BackNew in 1.2

The outbreak is learning.

The red pulse has started sending the infected in waves that don’t stop. The Division answered with its toughest drill yet, Penguin Panic: hold the line wave after wave while the biggest infected bosses come calling every tenth wave.

The field kit got an upgrade too. Chain cures together and the injector overloads into a Serum Frenzy. Supply helicopters drop power-ups over the water. And somewhere out on the floes, a lucky golden penguin is waiting to pay out a jackpot.

Every penguin you bring home now gets something the infection never gave them: a very good hat.
